Hainault Forest Golf Complex (Upper)

Hainault Forest Golf Complex, located in Chigwell, Essex, is a historic golfing destination featuring two 18-hole courses set within 260 acres of parkland. The Upper Course, the older of the two, dates back to 1908 and was designed by five-time Open Champion John Henry Taylor. While not exceptionally long, measuring 5,886 yards from the white tees with a par of 70, it presents a good test with undulating fairways and is known for being tighter and more hilly than the Lower Course. The course's design, typical of Taylor's work, incorporates strategically placed hazards. Hainault Forest Golf Club has a rich history, with the club formally established in 1912, a few years after the course opened.
