Grange Park Golf Club (Championship Course)

Grange Park Golf Club, established in 1891 as St Helens and District Golf Club, is a traditional parkland course located in St Helens, England. The club was formally established as Grange Park Golf Club in 1911 and the course was expanded to 18 holes by 1913. The current layout, which came into being in 1969 after changes made by Frank Pennink, is set on land purchased by Pilkington Glass company after World War I. James Braid was also involved in redesigning the course's bunkering in 1928. The course is known for its excellent greens and offers a true test of golfing skill, measuring 6509 yards from the medal tees with a par of 72. It features a mix of holes, including back-to-back par fives and challenging par fours. The course has hosted notable events, including the Lancashire Amateur Championship in 2014 and the English Senior Men's County Finals in 2021. While not a regular Open Qualifying location, it has been mentioned in the context of regional qualifying.
