Altrincham Golf Course, a municipal course in England, offers a golfing experience rooted in history, having been established in 1893. The course became municipal in 1934 after the Altrincham Urban Council purchased the land. While the original layout has seen only minor alterations over the years, part of the course was used for potato production during World War 2. This parkland course is known for its mature setting, featuring natural ponds and the meandering Timperley brook, which comes into play on several holes. It provides a varied test of golf with a mix of hole lengths and strategic hazards.
