Crowborough Beacon Golf Club

Crowborough Beacon Golf Club, established in 1895, is a heathland course situated on one of the highest points in Sussex, offering expansive views across the surrounding countryside and towards the sea. The club's history includes notable figures such as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who served as captain in 1910. The course design has been influenced by renowned architects Harry S. Colt and Dr. Alister Mackenzie, the latter of whom was commissioned to redesign eight holes in the 1920s. The course is known for its undulating terrain, heather, gorse, and strategic bunkering, demanding accuracy. It has been recognized as a quality golf course in a stunning location and has hosted county competitions.
