Chesterton Valley Golf Club ( Course)

Chesterton Valley Golf Club, located in the picturesque Shropshire countryside, began its life as a 9-hole course in 1993, a project brought to fruition on rolling farmland by local businessman Mike Davis and designer Len Vanes. The course was later expanded to a full 18 holes, with the new layout and clubhouse officially opening in 1999. Carved from the existing landscape, the course features undulating fairways defined by mature trees and strategic bunkering, leading to subtly contoured, soil-based greens. Known for its excellent drainage, the course remains open and playable throughout the year without the need for temporary greens. While offering an enjoyable test of golf across varied topography and green positions, Chesterton Valley Golf Club has not historically been used as a venue for Open Championship Qualifying.
