Bridgnorth Golf Club, established in 1889, is a picturesque parkland course in Shropshire, England. Originally located elsewhere, the club moved to its current Stanley Lane site in 1906, initially featuring 9 holes. An expansion to 18 holes occurred in 1972, following the closure of the adjacent railway line, utilizing land between the former railway and the River Severn. The expanded course was opened by notable professionals including Neil Coles and Max Faulkner. The course is set in the scenic Severn Valley and features varying terrain, from dry turf to meadowland alongside the river. All 18 greens were re-laid to USGA specifications in 2001. While not a regular Open Qualifying venue, the club has hosted Open competitions open to players with handicaps, attracting entrants from across the UK and Ireland.
