The Astbury Golf & Lodge Resort (Astbury Hall)

Astbury Golf Club, now known as The Astbury Golf & Lodge Resort, is located in Shropshire, England. Originally founded in 1922 in Cheshire, the current 18-hole parkland course in Shropshire was developed by K.K. Downing, former lead guitarist of the band Judas Priest, and opened in 2010. The course is set within 300 acres of rolling countryside and features USGA specification greens. It is a Par 71 course, playing over 6500 yards from the back tees. The course offers a mix of open parkland and woodland views with strategically placed bunkers and subtly contoured greens designed to challenge golfers of all abilities. A notable hole is the signature 18th, a challenging par 3 played over water in front of the clubhouse. The course was closed in 2018 but reopened in 2021 under new ownership, with plans for further development including lodges and additional golf facilities. The Astbury has hosted events, including a EuroPro Tour venue in the past.
