About Royal St David's Golf Club
Royal St David's Golf Club, established in 1894 in Harlech, Wales, is renowned for its challenging traditional links course set amidst breathtaking scenery, with views of Harlech Castle and the Snowdonia mountains. The course, often considered one of the finest links courses in the world, features undulating fairways and fast greens. It is an 18-hole course with a par of 69 and measures up to 6629 yards from the championship tees. While the initial holes are relatively flat, the back nine, particularly the final five holes, wind through imposing sand dunes, offering a memorable finish. The course design, originally by Harold Finch-Hatton, has seen subtle changes over the years. Royal St David's has hosted numerous national and international tournaments, including events from the Ladies European Tour and European Seniors Tour. It is consistently ranked among the top courses in Great Britain and Ireland and is often called the toughest par 69 course. Facilities include a driving range, putting green, pro shop, changing rooms, and catering. The club welcomes visitors and offers various booking options. Guest policy encourages handicap certificates and club membership, noting the course's suitability for experienced golfers.
