Langland Bay Golf Club

Perched high above the Gower coastline in Wales, Langland Bay Golf Club offers a distinctive golfing experience with a rich history dating back to its founding in 1904. The course, influenced by the notable architect James Braid, is routed over coastal meadowland and clifftops, providing often dramatic changes in elevation and engaging holes. While not among the longest courses, measuring around 6,000 yards from the back tees with a par of 70, its defenses are subtle yet effective, featuring well-placed bunkers, challenging greens, and thick rough. Play is significantly shaped by the prevailing coastal weather. Memorable holes include the demanding uphill par-4 6th, the scenic clifftop par-4 8th known as "Braid's Choice," and the testing short par-3 16th, aptly named "Death or Glory." The course is renowned for its breathtaking views over the Bristol Channel and surrounding bays from many vantage points.
