Ashburnham Golf Club, nestled on the coast of Carmarthenshire in Wales, stands as a classic championship links with a history stretching back to 1894. Designed with contributions from esteemed architects such as John Henry Taylor, Fred G. Hawtree, and Charles Kenneth Cotton, the course presents a traditional out-and-back layout that meanders through undulating dunesland. The prevailing wind often dictates play, adding a significant challenge to its subtly varied holes. Accuracy is paramount, with narrow fairways bordered by gorse and heather, and strategically placed bunkers guarding greens known for their quality putting surfaces. A test for golfers of all levels, Ashburnham has a proud history of hosting prestigious events, including multiple British PGA Championships and the Martini International. Demonstrating its championship pedigree, the club has also served as a qualifying venue for The Senior Open Championship, most recently in 2014 and 2017.
