Moorland Course in Skelmorlie, Scotland
Skelmorlie Golf Club, established in 1891, is a historic moorland course located in the hills above the Firth of Clyde in Scotland. Originally a unique 13-hole layout redesigned by James Braid in 1911, it was extended to 18 holes in 1999. The course offers beautiful views towards the Isle of Arran and the mountains of Argyll. While relatively short at 5030 yards from the white tees with a par of 65, it provides a challenging test requiring accuracy and sensible course management, featuring tough par threes and demanding par fours. The greens are noted for being in excellent condition, often allowing play even after heavy rain. The club welcomes visitors and societies, although some restrictions apply.
