Millport Golf Club
Heathland Course in Millport, Scotland
Millport Golf Club, established in 1888 and formerly known as The Cumbrae Golf Club, is an 18-hole heathland course situated above the town of Millport on the Isle of Cumbrae in North Ayrshire, Scotland. The course was redesigned in 1913 by James Braid to suit the modern game. It offers panoramic views of the Firth of Clyde, including Ailsa Craig, Kintyre, Bute, and Arran. The course features undulating terrain with gorse, bushes, and several blind shots, providing a challenging yet fair test. Out of bounds comes into play on the first seven holes. The club welcomes visitors daily and offers extensive practice facilities, including a driving range and putting green, a pro shop, and a clubhouse with bar and catering services. Golf clubs, trolleys, and buggies are available for hire, and golf tuition is provided.
