Parkland Course in Forres, Scotland
Forres Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course located in Forres, Moray, Scotland. Established in 1889, the original nine holes were designed by James Braid, with Willie Park Jr. expanding it to eighteen holes in 1912. James Braid later made further upgrades in 1923. The course, known for its challenging layout with tree-lined fairways and water hazards, offers spectacular views of Findhorn Bay and the Moray Firth. It has a par of 70 and measures around 6236 yards from the white tees. Forres Golf Club has hosted notable professional tournaments including the Scottish Professional Championship, the Northern Open, and the Scottish Young Professionals Championships. The club offers various facilities including a driving range, practice area, putting green, chipping green, practice bunker, and a 3-hole short course. There is a pro shop, a clubhouse with a bar and restaurant, and changing rooms with lockers. Visitors are welcome daily.
