Alness Golf Club
Parkland Course in Alness, Scotland
Alness Golf Club, located in Alness, Ross-shire, Scotland, is an 18-hole parkland golf course that was founded in 1904. The course is known for its scenic views of the Cromarty Firth and surrounding hills, with four holes running parallel to the Averon (Alness) river. While not particularly long, measuring between 4886 and 5013 yards with a par of 67, the course offers challenges for golfers of all skill levels with narrow fairways and well-placed bunkers protecting the greens. The course was extended from 9 to 18 holes in 1997 and is open to visitors year-round. Facilities include a clubhouse with changing rooms and showers, a putting green, and rentals for trolleys and golf clubs. There is also a pro shop, golf lessons available, and a restaurant.
