About Yeovil Golf Club (Old Course)
Yeovil Golf Club, established in 1907, is home to the Old Course, a parkland layout set on the border of Dorset and Somerset near the River Yeo. Originally designed by C.H. Alister MacKenzie with a later nine added by Charles Carter, the course offers a traditional English golfing experience with views of the surrounding countryside. It presents a challenging yet fair test of golf, requiring thoughtful shot-making. While a respected local club, it is not among the UK's top-ranked courses and has not been a venue for Open Championship Qualifying.
