Parkland/Moorland Course in Wrangaton, England
Wrangaton Golf Club, located on the edge of Dartmoor in South Devon, England, boasts a rich history dating back to its founding in 1895. Originally known as South Devon Golf Club, it adopted the name Wrangaton in 1922. The course, which became a full 18 holes in 1991, presents a tale of two halves. The front nine offers a moorland experience, shaped by the natural landscape with its streams, heather, and rocky outcrops. The back nine provides a contrasting parkland setting with tree-lined fairways. The course was designed by Donald Steel. While not a regular Open Qualifying location, it has hosted other competitions, including a Daily Telegraph Junior Golf Championship qualifying round.
