Woodbury Park Hotel and Golf Club (The Oaks)

Woodbury Park Hotel and Golf Club, situated in the picturesque Devon countryside, is perhaps most notably linked to former Formula 1 World Champion Nigel Mansell, who owned the facility for a period. The Oaks course, the longer of the two layouts at Woodbury Park, is a parkland course featuring rolling fairways and a number of lakes that influence play on several holes. Designed by J. Hamilton-Stutt and constructed in 1989, the course presents a notable challenge, particularly from the championship tees which stretch to over 7,300 yards. The greens are built to USGA specifications and feature subtle contours. A memorable hole is the par-3 18th, which requires a tee shot played over water towards a green in full view of the clubhouse. The Oaks has previously hosted significant events, including a European Seniors Tour championship and The McGregor Trophy, a prominent amateur event.
