Weston-super-Mare Golf Club, established in 1892, is a classic links course nestled on the North Somerset coastline. Originally laid out by Tom Dunn, the course saw significant modernization in 1922 under the guidance of the renowned architect Alister MacKenzie. Playing to a par of 70 over 18 holes, the layout is known for being an easy walk, featuring generous fairways that provide a fair test. However, the ever-present coastal winds from the Bristol Channel ensure that a good score is hard-earned. The course offers captivating views across the water towards Wales. A notable feature is the 15th hole, a par four reportedly modelled on the famous Road Hole at St Andrews, demanding accuracy and strategic thought.
