Situated on England's golf-rich northwest coast, The West Lancashire Golf Club, founded in 1873 by members of Royal Liverpool, stands as one of the oldest clubs in the country. The current links, shaped by Charles Kenneth Cotton and opened in 1961, is a classic championship test laid out across natural dune land with views across the Mersey Estuary. Known for its demanding and strategic holes, particularly around the green complexes, the course has a proud history of hosting prestigious events. Notably, West Lancashire has long served as a Final Qualifying venue for The Open Championship, a role it continues to fulfil.
