About Stocksfield Golf Club
Stocksfield Golf Club, established in 1913 as a 9-hole course with 100 members, relocated to its current site in 1949 and was expanded to 18 holes in 1975. The course, situated in the Tyne Valley, Northumberland, England, offers a diverse test of golf. The initial nine holes are characterized by tree-lined fairways demanding accurate tee shots, while the latter nine are set in more open parkland. The course is not particularly long, measuring 5,991 yards from the white tees, but presents a good challenge. It has been the home club to several local professionals. The course is playable in most conditions due to good drainage. While there is no mention of Stocksfield Golf Club being an Open Qualifying location, the club does host opens.
