Stanmore Golf Club
Parkland Course in Stanmore, England
Stanmore Golf Club, established in 1893, is a parkland course located just outside London. Originally laid out by Tom Dunn, the course underwent a significant redesign in 1922 by the renowned architect Alister MacKenzie. The club has a notable history, hosting a professional Open competition in 1894 which attracted leading players of the era, including James Braid and John Henry Taylor. While not among the longest courses at just over 6,000 yards, its tree-lined fairways and undulating terrain provide a good test of accuracy and course management. From higher points on the course, there are views across the surrounding area. The layout features a mix of holes, including five par-3s and two par-5s.
