Sand Moor Golf Club
Heathland Course in Leeds, England
Sand Moor Golf Club, established in 1926, is a heathland course located in Leeds, England. The course was originally influenced by the design principles of Dr. Alister MacKenzie, who was a member of the club's first Green Committee. While MacKenzie's influence is evident, the course has also seen changes over the years, including updates in the late 1960s with input from Henry Cotton, and more recent refinements by Andy Watson and Ken Moodie (Ken Moody). The course is known for its four challenging par 3s. Sand Moor has a history of hosting significant amateur and professional events, including the Yorkshire Evening News Tournament and the Leeds Cup.
