Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club (Pam Barton Course)

Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club, located in Richmond, England, boasts two 18-hole courses situated in the historic Old Deer Park. The Pam Barton course, named after the esteemed amateur golfer, is the club's Inner Course. Both courses were designed by five-time Open Champion John Henry Taylor, who was the club's first professional. The Pam Barton course, while shorter than the club's J.H. Taylor course, presents a notable test of strategic play with its original 'push-up' greens and the characteristic humps and hollows added in the early 1900s to provide definition to the flat landscape. The club has a rich history dating back to its founding in 1892 and has hosted several significant amateur and professional events over the years, including the Amateur Championship of England and the PGA Championship on its J.H. Taylor course. While the J.H. Taylor course has seen its greens reconstructed to modern USGA standards, the Pam Barton course retains its original greens.
