Rothley Park Golf Club (Main Course)
Parkland Course in Rothley, England
Rothley Park Golf Club, established in 1911 and with a course officially opened in 1912, is a parkland course situated in Leicestershire, England. The course was designed by Tom Williamson and notably saw an exhibition match between James Braid and Harry Vardon to mark its opening. While the course has undergone improvements over the years, including a bunker renovation in 2015 by Mackenzie & Ebert (Martin Ebert), it remains a pleasant parkland test. The layout measures 6,490 yards from the back tees and features tree-lined fairways. Water only comes into play on two holes, the 2nd and 18th, both crossed by Rothley Brook. The course runs alongside the Great Central steam railway line on the 2nd and 15th holes. Rothley Park has previously been a venue for co-hosting events such as the England Senior Amateur championships in 2016 and the English Senior County Finals in 2022.
