About Ramsey Golf & Bowls Club (Ramsey)
Ramsey Golf & Bowls Club, established in 1922 as a Gentlemen's Club, is a picturesque parkland course situated on the edge of the Fens in Cambridgeshire, England. A 9-hole course was first opened in 1965, with the full 18 holes introduced in 1968. The course, while relatively flat due to its fenland location, incorporates water hazards and trees, demanding thoughtful shot-making. The greens are noted for their quality and are playable year-round. Originally a 12-hole layout designed by Old Tom Morris in 1891 on the Isle of Man, this is a different club to the one in Cambridgeshire. The Cambridgeshire course has matured over time with additional trees enhancing its challenge.
