Prince's Golf Club in Sandwich, England, has a compelling history rooted in the early 20th century. Originally an 18-hole course designed in part by Charles Hutchings and Percy Lucas, it opened in 1907 and was known for its considerable length for the time, built to challenge the new Haskell ball. The club hosted the Open Championship in 1932, won by Gene Sarazen. The course was significantly impacted by World War II, after which it was redesigned by Guy Campbell (Sir Guy Campbell) and John Morrison into its current 27-hole configuration, consisting of three loops: Shore, Dunes, and Himalayas. Prince's has also served as a venue for Open Championship Local Final Qualifying.
