Oxford Golf Club
Parkland Course in Oxford, England
Oxford Golf Club, situated just two miles from the city centre, is a historic club with origins dating back to 1873 with golf played on the original Cowley Marsh site. The course as it is largely played today was redesigned in 1922 by the renowned architect Harry Colt, incorporating three holes originally designed by James Braid. The layout has remained mostly unchanged since Colt's work. Oxford Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in England. It has previously hosted Open Qualifying events. The course is an 18-hole, par-70 layout measuring 6,303 yards from the white tees. While located near the city, the course provides a tranquil setting with mature trees and wildlife.
