Olton Golf Club

Olton Golf Club, established in 1893, is a mature parkland course located in Solihull, England. The club was founded by James Power Heaton and was originally a nine-hole course situated on farmland before moving to its current site in 1903 and being extended to 18 holes. The course layout has been influenced by notable architects including James Power Heaton, Lindsay G Ross, John Henry Taylor, Harry Colt and F.W. Hawtree, and Donald Steel. The course is known for its greens, which are considered among the best in the UK. Olton Golf Club has a history of hosting significant amateur and professional tournaments, including the Midland Counties Championship in 1908 and a professional tournament in 1910 featuring Open Championship winners. It also hosted the prestigious Boys Open Championship in 1960 and a Pro-Am tournament in 2002 with notable professionals.
