North Weald Golf Club
Parkland Course in North Weald, England
Once a notable 18-hole parkland course in the Essex countryside, North Weald Golf Club offered a layout originally conceived by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, later refined by David Williams. Opening in 1996 on a site established in 1989, the course featured USGA specification greens allowing for year-round play. Its design incorporated strategic water hazards and contoured greens, set amongst gently rolling terrain. The course played host to various regional tournaments, including the Essex Amateur Championship and the PGA East Region Championship. Despite its qualities as a challenging yet enjoyable venue, North Weald Golf Club ceased operations and closed its doors at the end of 2016.
