Houghton-le-Spring Golf Club, established in 1908, is situated in County Durham, England. Originally a 9-hole course, it expanded to 12 holes in 1912 at its current Copt Hill location. The course was later extended to 18 holes, though it reverted to 12 during WWI due to petrol shortages. It returned to a full 18 holes after the war. The first clubhouse was built in 1920, with the current one extended and refurbished in 2008. The parkland course features rolling fairways, mature woodlands, and some strategically placed water hazards. While there is no information to suggest it has been an Open Qualifying location, it has hosted County events.
