Durham City Golf Club
Parkland Course in Durham City, England
Durham City Golf Club, established in 1887, is one of England's oldest inland golf clubs, situated just southwest of the historic city of Durham. The club has moved location twice since its inauguration, settling at its current Littleburn site in November 1974. The parkland course, designed by club member Chris Stanton, is laid out along the banks of the River Browney and is characterized by tree-lined fairways and subtly sloped greens. While not known as a frequent Open Qualifying venue, the club did host the English Girls Championship in 2008.
