Flackwell Heath Golf Club (Main Course)

Flackwell Heath Golf Club, established in 1904 as the Wycombe and Bourne End Golf Club, is located in South Buckinghamshire. The initial nine-hole course was designed by James Sherlock, with the club's first professional, John Henry Taylor, adding the second nine holes in 1907, the same year the club was renamed Flackwell Heath Golf Club. The course has seen alterations over the years, with contributions from notable architects including Harry Colt in the 1920s and F.W. Hawtree in 1964, who designed the current 15th and 16th holes. More recently, professional golfer and commentator Ken Brown has provided advice on ongoing improvements. Described in 1923 by golf correspondent Bernard Darwin as having beautiful, undulating greens, the course is set on undulating parkland with some heathland characteristics. It measures 6142 yards from the white tees with a par of 71.
