Effingham Golf Club, nestled in the picturesque Surrey countryside, offers a classic downland golfing experience designed by the esteemed architect Harry Colt in the 1920s. The course is set on 264 acres of rolling chalk downs, providing impressive views across the London skyline and the Chiltern Hills. Known for its excellent drainage due to the chalk subsoil, the course remains in fine condition and is playable year-round. The club has a notable history, having hosted regional qualifying for The Open Championship from 2006 to 2010, as well as other prestigious amateur and senior events. Recent renovation work, focusing on restoring Colt's original bunker designs, has enhanced the strategic and visual appeal of the course.
