Eccleston Park Golf Club

Eccleston Park Golf Club, established in 1999 on the former Rainhill Hospital Farm site, was a parkland course situated in Merseyside, England. The layout, revised in 2007, featured added undulations to the naturally relatively flat terrain. The par 72 course measured 6483 yards from the back tees and offered a variety of holes, including five par 5s and five par 3s, requiring the use of many clubs in the bag. Strategically placed water hazards came into play on ten holes, adding a strategic challenge. The clubhouse, originally the farmhouse dating back to the 1880s, was renovated and extended in 2006. The club ceased trading and closed on June 30, 2018, due to challenging trading conditions and declining membership.
