Bedford and County Golf Club ( Golf Club Course)
Parkland Course in Bedford, England
Established in 1912, Bedford and County Golf Club is a parkland course located on the outskirts of Bedford, England. The club, originally known as Clapham Park Golf Links, opened as a nine-hole course and was later expanded to 18 holes with a layout that largely remains today. John Henry Taylor and Fredrick George Hawtree were involved in the reconstruction of the course in the early 1920s, which included the introduction of bunkers. The course features mature trees and undulating greens, demanding accurate shot-making. It has a par of 70 and measures 6,420 yards from the white tees. The course has hosted national and regional tournaments and offers a challenging yet enjoyable round for golfers of all abilities. There is no information to suggest that Bedford and County Golf Club has been used as an Open Qualifying location in the past.
