Banstead Downs Golf Club, situated on the Surrey and South London border, offers a classic downland golfing experience. The course, originally designed by James Braid and touched by John Henry Taylor, opened in 1890. Its chalk base provides excellent drainage, ensuring playability throughout the year. The natural topography presents undulating fairways and challenging greens, demanding a variety of shots. The course has been lengthened to nearly 6,600 yards, playing to a par of 71. Banstead Downs has a rich history and is known for its welcoming atmosphere.
