Ashbourne Golf Club (18-Hole Course)

Ashbourne Golf Club, nestled in the heart of Derbyshire, England, is a club steeped in history, tracing its origins back to 1886. Initially a modest six-hole layout known as the Ashbourne and Dove Valley Golf Club, it evolved over the years, moving sites and expanding its offering. A significant moment in its development came in 1928 when James Braid, the 다섯-time Open Champion, was commissioned to redesign five holes, including the 4th, which he modelled on the iconic Road Hole at St Andrews. This connection proudly places Ashbourne Golf Club as a member of The Association of James Braid Courses. The current 18-hole parkland course, designed by David Hemstock, was established following the purchase of additional land in 1996 and opened in 1999. It presents a fair challenge to golfers of all abilities and is known for its well-drained, USGA-specification greens, allowing for year-round play.
