About Pontardawe Golf Club
Pontardawe Golf Club, founded in 1920 and extended to 18 holes in 1964, is a semi-parkland course situated in the upper Swansea Valley, set at 600 feet above sea level. It offers spectacular panoramic views of the Bristol Channel, Brecon Beacons, Black Mountain, Swansea Valley, Swansea Bay, and Mumbles Head. The course is just over 6100 yards with a par of 70, providing a good challenge for golfers of all standards. While it has some gentle inclines, the walk is rewarded with magnificent vistas, including the signature 16th hole known as the “pulpit”. The club prides itself on being friendly and sociable and welcomes visitors daily, though advance booking is essential.
