About Morriston Golf Club
Morriston Golf Club, established in 1909 and located on its current site since 1916, is a private members club in a tranquil rural area of Morriston, Swansea, Wales. The 18-hole parkland course measures 5,708 yards with a par of 68 for men and 4,983 yards with a par of 71 for ladies. While not exceptionally long, the course presents a challenge with small, fast greens and tight driving holes. Notable holes include the par three 15th, considered one of the most challenging short holes in Wales, and the par four 17th, known as the 'Temple of Doom' where many scorecards are ruined. The club has a history of success, winning the Welsh Team Championship in 1993 and the Juniors winning the Welsh Champions in 2009. Facilities include a pro shop, catering, clubhouse, changing rooms, and a putting area. There is also a newly built indoor practice area with coaching and swing analysis software. The club welcomes visitors and societies.
