Morlais Castle Golf Club

Morlais Castle Golf Club is an 18-hole moorland course located in Pant, Merthyr Tydfil, Wales. Situated in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons, the course offers scenic views. Originally a 9-hole course, James Braid was involved in its redesign and planning for an additional nine in the late 1920s and 1930s, though the new nine were never built at that time. The course is described as challenging and enjoyable for golfers of all handicaps, with a par of 71 and a maximum length of 6550 yards from the white tees. The course features a mix of terrain, with the front nine built around an old quarry and the back nine on rolling moorland. The remains of Morlais Castle, dating back to 1270, are located along the third fairway. Facilities at the club include a pro shop, putting green, changing facilities, and a clubhouse with a bar and restaurant. The club also has a golf studio and offers golf lessons and club fitting. Visitors are welcome.
