Parkland Course in Wishaw, Scotland
Wishaw Golf Club, situated to the north of the town centre, is a parkland course with a history dating back to 1894, with the current course designed by James Braid laid out in 1935. The club was founded at a meeting in Wishaw Public School and initially had a short course at Greenhead road. The club moved to a course between Heathery road and Bridge Street in 1897 before relocating to its present site in 1935. The course, known for its tree-lined fairways, measures over 6000 yards from the white tees with a par of 69. It presents a challenge with natural hazards, bunkers protecting many of the greens, and some tricky par 3s.
