Rutherford Castle Golf Club
Parkland Course in West Linton, Scotland
Rutherford Castle Golf Club was an 18-hole parkland course located in West Linton, Peeblesshire, Scotland. Designed by Bryan Moore following a re-design in 2001, the course was set among 150 acres of rolling parkland beneath the Pentland Hills and featured natural water hazards and mature trees, offering spectacular views. The initial course opened in 1998, designed by Henry Wallace. The championship length course, with a par of 72, was intended to challenge skilled golfers while providing enjoyment for players of all levels. Visitors were welcome daily, and facilities included a practice area, a clubhouse with a bar, and trolley and buggy hire. The club was listed in the Golfer's Handbook until it ceased publication in 2015, and the course closed in 2015 due to financial difficulties and dwindling membership.
