Ranfurly Castle Golf Club

Ranfurly Castle Golf Club, established in 1889 in Bridge of Weir, Scotland, holds the distinction of being the oldest golf club in Renfrewshire. The 18-hole moorland course, set amidst the Scottish countryside, was opened in its current configuration in 1905 and features design contributions from several architects including Andrew Kirkcaldy, Willie Auchterlonie, James Braid, Harry S. Colt, and James F. Robson. It presents a challenging layout characterized by undulating fairways, heather, gorse, and bracken, offering scenic views across the Clyde Valley towards Ben Lomond and the Scottish mountains. The course is well-maintained and has been selected to host numerous prestigious golf tournaments and national championships. The club provides a range of facilities including a clubhouse with dining and bar services, a pro shop managed by a PGA Professional offering club fitting and lessons, a driving range, practice area, putting green, pitching green, practice bunker, changing rooms, and locker rooms. Club and trolley/cart hire are available. The club offers various membership options, including full, junior, intermediate, social, and corporate packages, and participates in the Association of James Braid Courses, providing discounted green fees at other locations.
