Golf has a long history in this area, dating back to 1661, with the current course layout established in 1872. It is known for its sandy surface, numerous bunkers, and fast greens, offering a classic links test influenced by varying wind conditions. Described as “golf in the raw”, the course is a Par 71 measuring 6442 yards from the White tees, with a layout that includes four par 5s and five par 3s for good variation. The facility provides amenities such as a clubhouse with a restaurant, pro shop, changing rooms, locker rooms, putting green, chipping green, driving range, golf lessons, and trolley hire. Visitors are welcome daily.
