Royal County Down Golf Club's Championship Links is an acclaimed links course in Newcastle, Northern Ireland, nestled within the Murlough Nature Reserve and framed by the Mourne Mountains. Established in 1889, the course has evolved through the contributions of renowned architects including Old Tom Morris, George Combe, Harry Vardon, Harry Colt, Donald Steel, and Ebert (Martin Ebert). Known for its stunning natural beauty, the course presents a formidable challenge with narrow fairways winding through impressive sand dunes, bordered by penal heather and gorse, distinctive "bearded" bunkers, and quick, contoured greens. It has been the venue for significant tournaments such as the Walker Cup, Irish Open, and British Ladies Amateur Championship.
