Royal Portrush Golf Club, located in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, is a private club featuring two links courses: the championship Dunluce Links and the Valley Links. The Dunluce Links, consistently ranked among the world's greatest courses, is known for its challenging play, thick rough, testing greens, and dramatic dunescapes with ocean views. It was originally designed by Harry Colt and underwent significant alterations by Ebert (Martin Ebert) in preparation for the 2019 Open Championship, which it hosted for the second time in its history, with Shane Lowry winning. The course is a par 72 (though played as a par 71 for the 2019 Open) and measures up to 7337 yards from the championship tees. Visitors are welcome but are expected to be members of a recognised golf club and may be required to present a handicap certificate (maximum 18 for men, 24 for ladies) and a letter of introduction. Booking in advance is essential, and green fees are non-refundable. The club offers practice facilities including a driving range with grass tees and target greens, two short game greens, and a putting green. They also have a 6-hole short course. Caddies are available for hire, though availability is not guaranteed as they are self-employed.
