Whiteleaf Golf Club ( Course)
Parkland/Downland Course in Princes Risborough, England
Founded in 1907 on land generously provided by Mary Phillips, Whiteleaf Golf Club is set within the picturesque Chiltern Hills of England. The club's history is intertwined with its attractive clubhouse, which incorporates parts of 14th-century dwellings. Following the First World War, the course saw significant changes, with renowned architect Harry Colt providing design consultation in 1925, shaping the 9-hole layout that exists largely to this day. The course itself is a unique parkland and downland blend, notable for its undulating terrain and free-draining chalk base that ensures playability throughout the year. While not long, the course presents a test of accuracy and course management, featuring some blind approaches and well-guarded greens.
