Welwyn Garden City Golf Club, established in 1923, is a parkland course located in Hertfordshire, England. The course, which was gradually developed into an 18-hole layout under the guidance of John Henry Taylor and Fred G. Hawtree, is known for its undulating, tree-lined fairways and well-maintained greens. Measuring around 6,100 yards with a par of 70, it offers a fair test of golf with strategically placed bunkers and challenging par-4s. Welwyn Garden City Golf Club has a notable history as the childhood club of six-time Major champion Sir Nick Faldo and also European Tour player Tom Lewis. The club has previously been a venue for Open Qualifying, hosting a Local Qualifying event in 2011 and having a player, Tom Lewis, qualify for The Open from a Final Qualifying site in 2018.
