About Waltham Windmill Golf Club
Nestled in the Lincolnshire countryside, Waltham Windmill Golf Club offers a parkland golfing experience with a notable historical backdrop. The club's origins trace back to the early 1980s with a design conceived by Clive Clark and Peter Alliss, although the current layout was redesigned and opened for play in May 1997 after the current owners purchased the site in 1994. The course features two loops of nine holes, allowing for flexible starting points. Mature trees line many fairways, and the strategic placement of nine ponds adds both challenge and interest to the round. The course is set within the scenic grounds of the 19th-century Waltham Windmill, providing a distinctive visual element. While not a regular Open Qualifying venue, the club has hosted regional qualifying events and amateur open competitions.
