Tinsley Park Golf Course, located in Sheffield, England, is a historic municipal course with a parkland layout featuring mature trees and undulating terrain. Established in 1906, the first nine holes opened in 1920, with the full 18 holes completed and officially opened in 1921. The opening was marked by an exhibition match featuring notable golfers of the era, including George Duncan, James Braid, John Henry Taylor, and Abe Mitchell, with Harry Vardon also participating in the 1921 opening. The course was designed with input from Dr. Alister Mackenzie and local architect Alfred E. Turnell. It was intended to provide access to golf for the local artisan population. The course is an 18-hole, par-70 track measuring 6113 yards from the white tees. It offers a balanced test of golf for various skill levels, with some challenging holes. While a municipal course, it has been noted for having greens in good condition.
